Boom Boom Shrimp, sweet potatoe fries and a grilled shrimp taco was out of this world!!!

What a unique and wonderful experience. If you want to see why "Bluff Life" is more than an expression you have to visit this gem! "Friendly" does not begin to describe the staff or the furry friends running around OUTSIDE on the property. Support animals are more than welcome inside "emotional" support animals....... you eat on the porch. Regardless of where you eat in the restaurant, you will enjoy the food as much as the atmosphere. We ordered the Captains Platter and left plenty behind for the cats to enjoy for dinner. Huge portions at a very reasonable price. Make a special trip to visit Hunter's Cafe, you'll be glad you did.

Waited f o r e v e r for our food...and it wasn't very busy at the time. Flies everywhere. The bartender took better care of us than the waitress. French fries were very very good.

A friend told us about this place so we went to check it out.... wow... great food. Gotta try their fried pickles and mozzarella sticks, but their hamburgers are the best I've treated in Georgia......

The Grouper Fillet sandwich is great! The fried pickle spears are also great!

Hamburger steak was off the chain good! Awesome atmosphere and good service. A joy to eat dinner in the water.

Atmosphere, food, people, scenery and the bartender is the BEST.

This is a favorite stop for all the fishermen who come through the area and all the locals who know it well. It is known for its classic deep fried southern dishes, including fried seafood of all kinds as well as grilled and blackened varieties of the same. Perhaps it largest claim to fame, however, is its unique decor inside, where it is literally wallpapered with money.The seafood is fresh and the fries are delicious, as is the tartar sauce, which is no less than you would expect for a dinner with this much southern character.PRO-TIP: Bring a one dollar bill to add to the specialized wall paper, and a sharpie to sign it.

Love this place. It defines coastal kitsch and is full of genuine characters. Food is good, beer is cold.

Ambiance is unique and the food acceptable, but as others have mentioned, there are way too many flies inside of the restaurant which is a huge turn off. Please address this issue.

Great fish?

My husband and I drove our motorcycles to this location. The ride was fantastic but the restaurant is very difficult to find (on a dirt road). We actually drove right by it and someone had to point it out to us. Exactly what we expected and were looking for - rustic with really good seafood. My husband and I had the fried shrimp, french fries, and coleslaw. The shrimp are very lightly coated with what appears to be flour and corn meal and were sweet and fresh. The french fries are hand cut and the coleslaw is really good. We ordered a slice of key lime for desert, homemade by a woman who sells the pies to the restaurant. I don't really like key lime bit but this pie was fantastic. We loved this place and will want to come back. The only reason why I'm giving it four stars instead of five is the cost. We were there for lunch - I had a small fried shrimp, my husband had a large fried shrimp, two sodas, and one slice of key lime pie cost us $48 with tip. Ouch!

Great place to enjoy some good food, drinks, and relax with friends and family. Best burgers ever.

The waitress Marie is awful. The young blonde woman is the only good waitress and the tall blonde woman is the only good bartender. Marie is the larger woman and she cusses and comes to your table smelling like a cigarette café. Marie doesn’t even fill up your glass when it’s empty, you have to ask. Al of the waitresses other than the young blonde lady and the bartender won’t check on you or ask if you need anything.

Normally good food but a little on the greasy side this visit

It was wonderful

This is the best fried seafood I've ever eaten. Would definitely recommend the captain's platter to anyone who loves seafood.

Good, simple seafood tucked away by the estuary. Seems to have been converted from a cottage, and still has that very local, welcoming feel like home. I ordered several things to try. Clams were great, fried foods weren't too greasy. Only issue was I was there en route to a work meeting - this place would have been better with a beer wearing flip flops and shorts. I'll definitely go back. Great discovery.

Stop all the talking between staff, do your job. Mediocre food at best.

Damn you Google. I drove 2 hours to eat lunch here but they were closed this Tuesday. I'll give 5 stars cuz the drive was scenic. Also...the "Streetview" here is wrong. The restaurant is a little up the road from that point.

Can't get any more local and low key than this place folks! Battered "Bluff" fries are the best! Open for lunch and dinner and it's hard to find a lunch place in this area. Fish tacos are new and very popular. Fried green tomatoes are a "for sure" thong to try. Fried shrimp....some of the best around and right off the local boats!

Great local place

RUDE. We came in as a family of four. We sat down and we're given water but then completely ignored after others arrived for bar service. We had to move tables bc of the noise and foul language. When we asked for service the waitress told us they'd get to is eventually. She mentioned us to a different waitress who had a horrible attitude and said "ugh, they'll just have to wait." We immediately left and will NEVER return.

Food is good, love the battered shoestring fries. Grouper sandwich is very tasty. Fun atmosphere. Each order is cooked after you order so don't be in a hurry. But in Shellman Bluff no one is in a hurry, and that is great.

Every time I am down here It is mandatory that I go there. It had been several years since my last visit but, Marie not only remembered me,she remembered my name.The food is awsome and so is the service. JUST GO!!!!!

Beautiful view, friendly people, good food....laid back as it gets. Nestled under live oaks and Spanish moss. True 'local' spot, don't visit Shellman Bluff without stopping in for a cold 🍺 and some good food.

Nothing was fresh! Every single item was sticky. Fork, cups, table etc. salad was brown, server cussing in front of children, very disappointed.
